The postcard as art began on the Quilt Art © mailing list and many examples
can be
found at www.Art2Mail.com.
The idea was to make art on a small scale
that can
travel through the mail. Sign up for this class to make creative
and inventive “fabric
jewels” to travel far and wide. The class will
serve as an introduction to creating
mini-art quilts. You will create
postcards using fabric collage, fusing, raw edge hand
appliqué and other
techniques to create shapes and abstract images. As a result
you will be
introduced to a variety of fiber-related media. Get a little experience with
a few basic design principles by taking part in small exercises. These
exercises will
serve as your source of inspiration. Enjoy yourself in this
nurturing and fun environment! |
